Arkanum

Porzellan-Manufaktur Nymphenburg presents Arkanum, a new decor in Black and Platinum. Arkanum is based on the Principle of concealed luxury. Whilst exploring Nymphenburgs archives, Khashayar came across a book with inlays intricately embroidered in gold and red floral patterns. The book was called Arkanum. It was the Nymphenburg alchemists' guide to ‘White Gold’. This book contained the secret formula for the production of porcelain, written in the 1700s.

Noughts & Crosses

Noughts & Crosses is a toy storage system in finger-jointed birch plywood. The addition of O's and X's to the front of each box turns tidying up into a game. Noughts & Crosses is a self production, made to order.

Oak Joint

Joint is a dining table that utilises the traditional mortise and tenon joint. The secondary apron provides stability, allowing more slender elements. Joint is a self production and comes in various sizes, made to order. Available in oak, ash, maple and walnut.

Grow UP

Object factory: the Art of Industrial Ceramics

M.A.D. presents Object Factory: The Art of Industrial Ceramics is the first major U.S. museum exhibition to survey contemporary innovation in industrial ceramic production and the renaissance of ceramics in art and design today. The exhibition explores how artists and designers are reviving interest in ceramics through collaborations with industry that enhance and sometimes subvert the industrial process. Object Factory features more than 200 pieces by fifty artists, designers, and industrial manufacturers, including works by Campana Brothers, Hella Jongerius, Michele de Lucchi and Patricia Urquiola among others. T.A.G. Grand Palais

Alain-Dominique Gallizia commissioned a painting, but instead a machine was produced for the TAG exhibition. From the street to the Grand Palais. For the first time ever, this art sauvage is being shown at a Paris cultural institution, in the south-west gallery, undergoing restoration, on the first floor overlooking the nave. Beau Sauvage

Design Museum Tank

At the invitation of curator Libby Sellers, Khashayar Naimanan has designed an installation 'Incognito' for the outdoor tank at the Design Museum on the Thames river front. Tableware produced by Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg and Mirrors sponsored by Alluvial.

Football Fever

To celebrate the World Cup, the Design Museum Tank will feature Football Fever, an exhibition exploring innovative redesigns of the humble football. Playing with your enemies skull or keeping it as a trophy influenced the design of Khashayar Naimanan's SkullBall. The footballs, produced in Pakistan under Fairtrade conditions, have been donated by The Fairtrade Foundation and Fair Deal Footballs.

Hidden Wealth – Ça Ne Vaut Pas Un Clou

Re-evaluating traditional ways of hiding wealth by using objects with little perceived value, inspired Naimanan in melting all the un-wanted Jewellery available and cast into humble 4-inch nails. The nails are made in editions and come in solid Platinum, Gold or Silver.

The Clothing for Concealment project continues with the Sleeving Jacket, KN develops tailor-made jackets for the art of sleeving (shop-lifting technique developed using one sleeve and a subtle movement of the hand).

Khashayar Naimanan collaborates with Sculptor Chris Fitzgerald to hand-build, paint and package a selection of limited edition famous designers and artists, sold in the form of action figures. Collection one starts with Ron Arad and comes with a miniature rota-moulded 'Little Albert' chair.
